Koonce (play-by-play)
A former Major League Baseball scout and 18 year broadcast veteran,
will handle the play-by-play duties for the Cumberland County
games. Koonce was one of the co-founders of Mid-South Sports, Inc., in 1990
where he hosted a weekly coach's show before each game. A regular on the
sideline in 12 years with the company, Koonce was part of a radio crew that
broadcasted six 4-A State Championship games and eight 4-A East Regional
Championship games. He also has experience with broadcasting Methodist
University, Wingate University and UNC Pembroke football games. |
